Philips’ LivingColors LED lighting system is a fascinating concept for the homes that thrive on colors and ambiance. But while the initial design was pretty awesome as it was, Philips thought it best to up the ante a bit and took LivingColors to a whole new level with the second gen version. Not only is the LivingColors v2 set up 50% brighter than the original, but it’s able to display up to 16 million colors. Light can be focused where you point the set and a remote control will allow you the choice of adjusting the colors to your specific preference. The design of the ‘pod’ is essentially the same, and who’d want to change that. Of course lighting don’t come cheap and this second gen edition will cost somewhere in the vicinity of $230 and $350.
